Helvetica is one of the most popular typefaces in the world. Helvetica originated from Switzerland in 1957 by Max Miedinger and Eduard Hoffmann. Helvetica falls under the neo-grotesque sans-serif classification. Good things about Helvetica is that it is neutral, a "safe" choice and it is well-glyphed. A negative thing about Helvetica is that it is everywhere, which makes it old and overused. Designers hate Helvetica because it’s now four sizes too small. Some love it because it is it is simple and nice. Personally, I like Helvetica because it looks fancy and usable for any occasion.
